April 2004 :
Logan's owner filled us in on his progress. This is what she told us:
"It is now 2 years since Logan's arrival and I think that at long last
he has
accepted that he is here to stay and trusts us. I cannot believe that Logan
was classed as uncontrollable, I think he was probably mis-understood. He is
not a demanding dog and only needs company, he does not like to be on his
own. When we lost Trixie he did suffer and was quite poorly for a while. It
was Trixie that helped to bring his confidence back and he became very fond
of her and during her last few months was always by her side. He now has a
new playmate although I am not so sure Logan is that impressed as Kizzie
loves to chew his ears! He is gentle and kind with her and if only he would
tell her off she may stop plaguing him.
Logan has been responsible for helping several other 'Irish' dogs find
loving homes in England and he is a very good representative, everyone falls
for his big eyes!
The only sad thing about Logan is that he does not know how to play but I am
sure we will overcome this eventually.
I am so glad that I was told about Logan being on Irish Animals, although we
do not have a true Flatcoated Retriever we do have a great big black bear!"
