Skipper is a healthy young neutered male. He is probably about two years old. He is intelligent, curious, very friendly and affectionate.
He strayed into a neighbour's home and is at present being fostered. His foster 'Dad' is going abroad, so he needs to find a loving home soon.

Thomas is a very distinguished 4 year old white cat with adorable 'eyebrows'. An adult family with not too many other animals would best suit this guy, although he is used to older children and other cats and a dog, but  he prefers his own company & likes to be able to come and go as he pleases. He is looking for a home where he can have fun exploring.  Thomas is litter-tray trained, but also goes out through a cat flap to use the garden. He is neutered, vaccinated and wormed. He hopes someone will have space in their life for an adult cat. Please call, Thomas is waiting patiently. All homes will be home checked.

Bramble is a beautiful ginger & white 3 year old cat who is too scared of the dogs in his home to go indoors. It's sad to see him cowering on the window sill in the rain and as the months go by his owners worry what will happen when winter comes.
He would love an indoor home, where he can come & go and a quiet garden not near a busy road. Preferable no small children as he has not been raised with children.
All homes will be home checked.

Marilyn is an adorable neutered female stray from the Ballydehob area. We're sure she must have been a much loved pet at some point because she's sooooo affectionate and friendly. She's also deaf, but it doesn't seem to bother her much! However, she does need to be kept safe from dangers she can't hear, like dogs and traffic so she needs either an indoor home and/or access to an enclosed outdoor area. She'll make someone an excellent companion - could it be you?

Ivor  was probably caught in a trap for several days as he had an injured hind leg that had to be amputated. He was a bit confused and sad on arrival and he's still thin, but is putting on weight and condition nicely and is coping very well on just three legs. At the moment his ears look far too big for him and he's still a bit scruffy - he's like a cross between ET and Yoda! But he's really going to be a stunning cat when he gets back to his full health. And, personality-wise, he's just a babe. He's another one I'd guess has been a house cat, he's so well socialised. He's understandably a bit protective of himself and wary of other cats, but would probably be okay with time. He's getting his booster vaccination in a couple of weeks, and will be neutered at the same time, then he'll be available for adoption. And he'll do even better when he's found a forever home to lavish attention on him in his time of trouble. Could it be you?

Ten six-week-old kittens are wanting to book their forever homes now - impatient little things! They won't be available till they're old enough to leave mum, another two to six weeks, but they'd love to be visited and played with in the meantime. They live at Adrian's, near Skibbereen, with their mums. These little black, tortie, torbie, ginger and white and calico furrballs are waiting for your call!

The two big issues in cat welfare are unwanted breeding and the terrible spread of viral diseases - like cat flu.

Vaccinate!

Just two initial shots, followed by an annual top-up will protect your cat against a basketful of killer diseases, including cat flu ( which would be better named "cat rot" according to vet Rosa Keily) and the deadly leukaemia. So give your cat the 'needle' and a long and healthy life.

Neuter!

Whether domesticated or feral (wild), cats breed at an astonishing rate. Constant 'kin breeding' results in weak and sickly cats starving and dying everywhere.

The solution is simple - NEUTER. Castrated  males and spayed  females wander less, avoid fight injuries and infections, hunt efficiently and have only themselves to support. Spayed females don't attract tom cats who spray, fight and screech in your back garden at 3am!
Neutering is safe and humane, and prevents the birth of millions of unwanted kittens whose only future is suffering and death.
